I believe this sums up all the moves for the week.
Fraser Aird (23) loaned from Dundee United to Queen of the South in the Scottish Championship.
Rocco Romeo (18) loaned from TFC to HB Koge in the Danish 2nd tier.
Liam Millar (19) loaned from Liverpool to Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership.
Ballou Tabla (19) loaned from Barcelona to Albacete in La Liga 2.
Adonijah Reid (19) signs Le Havre Ac in Ligue 2.
Will include Zorhan Bassong because he is still eligible for us. (19) transfers to Cercle Bruges of the Belgium 1st tier.
That is a lot of young Canadian talent, imagine it will only increase with the CPL starting!!
While looking at Le Havre wiki page noticed that they have a 17 year old Canadian goalie playing on their reserve squad. Nikola Curcija, anyone know anything about him?

It cost 6 million euros, seats 6000, took about 30 months to build.

This reminds of a party I was at years ago in the UK in London where I met a few Italians and they asked me where I was from...and I said near Toronto but probably pronounced it more like Toranna.  And they asked me what it was like there...and I said it was very nice, clean, some cool bits, etc.  And they kept saying they had heard very bad things about it...finally after a few minutes back and forth, I realized they thought I was talking about Tirana, Albania!  I learned my lesson after that to always pronounced the final T in Toronto when I was in Europe. :-)

Btw, been to Taranto...not a bad little town...the whole region of Puglia is probably my favourite part of Italy.

This is pretty expected, he's Championship starter quality but he didn't get consistent playing time at Falkirk because they have incredible depth on the wing. This is a good move for him.

Looks like Hirschfeld has stopped playing and is now an assistant coach with KFUM. If it is indeed the end, congratulations on a great career with club and national team. Our best gk in the past 15 years.

While it's not a depth chart per se, the CMNT Wikipedia page (which list players involved over the past 12 months) is kept up-to-date quite well and can be sorted by (general) position, age or caps received.

I don't see what is wrong with this move. A starter on a Spanish 3rd division club is not a bad place for a 21 year old Canadian player. He has left a bigger club but we do not know how much he was in their plans or in those of Dusseldorf before. If you look at the average league level of our national team players he is not that far below it in the Spanish 3rd division. A good season with Izarra and he could attract interest from the 2nd division which would put him at a level as high or higher than most of our national team starters. He is in a good pyramid and needs to play to showcase himself and move up it. He may or may not do so but I don't see this as a bad move at all.

It's interesting that there have been some recent moves to MLS for our players.  There are now 28 Canadian players in MLS, which is an all time high.
Between MLS, NASL and USL there are more domestic pros than we have ever had before.  The player pool is starting to have some real depth.

Never thought I'd see the day where I'd think Boakai was better off staying with FC Edmonton, but here we are.
Although, it looks like Landskrona are in second place right now. Could be a candidate for promotion. If he ends up in the Swedish second division in 2017 that makes the move look much better IMO.

At the risk of derailing the thread, I hope Piette either gets a first team deal at Deportivo or moves up the pyramid.

Typically discussion was always kept to a minimum in this thread over the years. If discussion was warranted posters were encouraged to start a new thread, such as "Derek Cornelius trialing at Terek Grozny". That way new info. relating to a player would not get lost in the clutter of a few pages of new posts in a short time span. It makes sense imo.
