Looks like it is Liam Miller to Liverpool's academy. Based on this tweet from a Liverpool Academy correspondent.

Haven't seen this yet, but Calgary SW United product Bori Falaye is trialing with Borussia Dortmund right now. Bori is a 1998 forward who was in one Canada U-17 camp in 2014: http://canadasoccer.com/?t=profile&pid=4964

Have to say, I'm loving what League1 Ontario has brought to the table development wise in its short history. Ewart, Johnathan Grant and Luca Uccello are all examples of young talent who are able to get contracts through showcasing their talents in the league. Hoping we hear that Adonijah Reid has signed somewhere during the course of 2016.

IMO, de Jong will be there in March. Even if he is without club at that time he will still be our best option at LB for that game.

That's a great landing spot for Hume, especially given how he was tumbling down the English pyramid.

If Ledgerwood were to play at DM it could make sense for him to move to FC Edmonton. There has been a little chatter about a national team player coming to play in Edmonton, but no idea who it is.

Carreiro left via mutual consent. Have to think he wasn't satisfied with the lack of playing time, and probably saw that it wasn't going to improve. FWIW, Dundee supporters responding to the announcement on Twitter seem confused by the news. http://www.dundeefc.co.uk/news/dylan-leaves-the-club

I meant actually getting on the pitch with the MNT, not just being called up for camps.

Looks like Gasparotto's loan with Greenock Morton is going to be extended through the rest of the year. I think that's a fantastic piece of news, especially given that he will get much more playing time against the same level of competition that he would at Rangers. Sounds like he is impressing as well, just like he impressed at Airdrieonians last year. Have to think it's only a matter of time before he makes his senior team debut.

And my short suggestion to making the program attractive is to make being a professional footballer in Canada attractive. Show local youth that you can actually make a living out of playing a sport in this country, rather than having to go to Chile or Scotland or France to try and hack it.
Right now there are three clubs in Canada where you can actually make a living wage, for a grand total of 22 players in Canada making that wage or more. Since I don't know what Ottawa and Edmonton pay their players I've excluded them, but I've read the average salary is around $40K, and my personal experience is that living on $40K is doable but not an attractive long term option. (which explains why we see guys like Paul Hamilton and Shaun Saiko who were NASL best XI players in their early 20s retire in their mid 20s)
We need more professional opportunities for local players, which in my opinion means, a domestic league. Not a silver bullet by any means but it can only help.
