Taylor Lord with Durham...wow what a blast from the past. Remember him being at Monaco and having high hopes for him but he only got to usl pro. Now I really got to watch the Durham vs Vaughan game that is up on the site.
All I know is that he manages to be a decent MLS depth signing on FM

Hi CH, read this a few days ago but have to ask: what do you mean? Do you want to know what their youth club was, is that it?
Yeah, it has proven to be a bit more time consuming than I thought, so I don't think I'll get through the database in a timely manner
Ideally it was to find not only which club they were at but at what age, to be able to nail down who exactly who would count as domestic in MLS of the rule was tweaked by eliminating the second condition of the new domestic rule.
"Players who trained at an approved youth academy before the age of 16
AND
Signed first contract with an MLS or MLS2 team"
The argument was going to be, as long as the CSA is relatively liberal with the approvals, we could approach half the player pool counting as domestic instead of a small handful gaining status.
MLS has taken a hardline publicly on its legal position on the domestic rule, so it won't be changing anytime soon, but the point I wanted to make in the article was to ask why would a league that states that it has Canadian development as a goal would design the rule with an unnecessary clause that effectively neutered it's overall effect.
I know it seems like making a blog post seems to be pissing into the wind, but it seems like the posts I make have gotten a decent readership, and I personally think that it isn't that hard to influence the narrative with the way articles spread through social media these days.

I'm going through the Canucks Abroad database for an article in an attempt to identify where each player trained. I've noticed one player who needs updating, I'll post more as I notice them.
Ross Harvey has moved from Geelong SC (AUS) to Auchinleck Talbot FC (Scotland) which is 6th (?) division

I saw this tweet:
Santino Recine. Have people heard of him? Is this an actual Canadian?
This is the referenced tweet:
Any young center back getting a first team contract is good news. Anyone know much about this guy? If it's true he is getting a first team contract in Serie B, that is pretty big with our lack of young CBs

Probably isn't interested in playing for less than 20k

He is at Burnley? We need Arfield on that ASAP! I hope he looks up to Super Scott!
Heh, figured someone would want to pull that card!
He can try, but I expect right now the kid would want to try to the country he grew up in. Maybe in a few years, depending on how his career goes

He's a winger, while his younger brother is GK
Since he's being featured in the same breath as Rashford, I imagine this is hoping for an Arfieldesque scenario, but worth keeping an eye on

Someone on reddit found that Tristan Jumeau has a Canadian mother. He also has a younger brother in the academy

I think this case beckons the need to have legitimate Canada B camps and matches. Keep fringe players like Stanese involved
Winter camps almost border on this already, no?

Based on Canucks Abroad's twitter I'm gonna say it's a lad by the name of Liam Miller
Given that this tweet:
was based off of a tweet sent by a Mr. Alan Miller, I bet you are right. The kid's dad maybe?
Edit: So this is getting stalker-ish, but the guy has a bunch of retweets related to Liam Miller, so I bet that this is a the answer for sure. The guy also has lots of CSA and Canada-related retweets, so maybe we can expect a fair degree of loyalty in this prospect

Crewe might just want to move in another direction anyway. His totals were ok but nothing to build the team around. If they want to change their shape they'd have good reason to drop him even if that isn't an indication of their evaluation of his quality
