Greek 1st division
Manolis Zabazis was an unused sub for Iraklis in a 2-0 away loss against Olympiakos.
* Note that Iraklis is now in the 1st division, so it needs to be updated on the google doc.
Has Zabazis been called up to any of our youth teams yet? He's a '97 so still eligible for next U20's.
-
The Lithuanian 2nd division is finished, but a little update on Latwayne Anderson. He played in 16 games for Vilniaus MRU, with 14 yellow cards and 1 red.
Good god, he's a goon.

Wow, nice find! 18 yr old LB playing for Colo-Colo. Wonder how long ago he moved there?
-
We looked into him, believe the info. about his birthplace is incorrect. His mother might be Canadian though? Don't remember exactly what got dug up. Probably going to get called up to Uruguay soon anyways.
-
If Zohran had to wait until 16 to sign in Belgium it implies that he has an non-Belgian EU passport.
-
Caolan Lavery is gone. He was cap-tied to Canada at the U17 qualifiers in 2009. Under FIFA rules he needed to use his one-time switch to play for NI. Same principle as when Lensky switched.

I think you're right after-all. I passed it to JPG. Although he must have done it twice because Kurosawa didn't take it over from Joe McCarthy. Unless there was somebody else in there who I thought was JPG.
Yeah i took the list over from you for this site - thinking 2008ish? Joe McCarthy actually did the list on Big Soccer and that's where i took it over from him and not this site. Sorry about the confusion...

Disagree that 'Sorry but those are the rules and there is no negotiating' is not an ultimatum.
That statement of mine was a response to his "thanks for understanding". I don't go around being a dick for no reason.
-
I am less opposed to a google doc than I am to it being hosted on another website. Fussball has backed down on that so no need to re-visit that (and thank you for that). Anyways let's wait and get more input on the format.

I frankly find that notion ridicilous. This is freely available information for anyone to find online and nobody's property at all. If anything it is common property and belongs to everyone.
I frankly find your tone (and I quote: "those are the rules and there is no negotiation") completely counter-productive.
The google document belongs to everyone, Canucks Abroad is an interactive process on twitter, I write on red nation online because its easier than hosting my own website and I do frequent Canucks Abroad section on Two Solitudes (Canadian Soccer News). My aim is not to promote a certain brand or website, I simply want to spread soccer in our wonderful country.
If the name RNO in the url is an issue for people, I am willing to compromise and post a more neutral link for the website.
I will use a google document for tracking though, as I find it infinitely more useful than the old way.
That's your opinion and you're entitled to it, however i'm sure you'll find alot of senior V's would rather not relinquish a piece of our tradition. If you can't understand that then i'm sorry, but i'm not going to budge on my opposition to you moving our list over to an external site. The info. may be public knowledge, but our seperate, sovereign list must remain on this site. No one is stopping you from posting your list wherever you like, but if you take on the position of maintaining the V's MOACA it should temain on our site, shared or not.
As with anything on this site there should be input from everyone, especially the senior members, contributors, past stewards and leaders.
-
The idea is that the MOACA list is property of the Voyageurs and that we are the safe keepers of said property. Hosting the list on an external site is essentially outsourcing something that numerous people have worked hard to maintain for this supporters group for almost 20 years.
-
I have to be honest. I hate the look of the old list. The google document is perfect as it allows for more information and formatting. RNO is jus hosting my content, the list exists on is own in one of my Google accounts without an end date or any other limitations. Thanks for your understanding.
Sorry but those are the rules and there is no negotiating. Myself and Joe McCarthy maintained the list on multiple sites when we maintained the list and so can you.
-
Fussball, thank you for taking over the list - it is usually a thankless job so good on you.
One thing though, the list needs to be posted in the first post of this thread and not linked to an external site.

I would take that list with a very, very large grain of salt and investigate each "signing". Based on my observations of their previous years "signings" these are almost always just training sessions.
