We know have 42 young abroads in 13 different countries. This list is surely just going to grow.
I also added Michael Smith.
I've gotten in touch with David. He is about to sign with a new club and he will share this news with us soon.

Any reason why Michael Smith isn't on the list? http://www.transfermarkt.de/michael-smith/profil/spieler/103934

Well, if you're tracking assistant coaches in the Coaches Abroad, looks like Jeff Paulus is missing. Been the assistant coach and academy TD at FC Edmonton since 2012.
Oops. Major oversight. Went ahead and added him. So we do have quite a few other coaches missing. Everyone: Does anyone else come to mind?

Thanks Ben, went ahead and added him as well.

An option for tracking youth might be to post but not add youth signings to MOACA. Fussballeh doesn't need to worry about additional work, while there is value in being able to look back in the future and see if the signings amounted to anything.
The google document has several tabs. We can add a "Youth Abroad" and have a dedicated youth contributor with access to the doc. Anyone want to focus on this aspect?

We track youth, but we don't have the ambition to be comprehensive. If we come across them, we add them. However, in this case they are way too young. Too much can happen until then. I'd say we should look at 16 and up.

He meant the signings grouping. Apparently SAAC kids signed at Bayern, Barca, Genk, Nice etc.
Pretty sure Reid doesn't have a Euro passport so he can't sign until he's 18.
If that happened we would have heard about it. There is no way Bayern signed a Canadian and this is the first we've heard about it. But, hey, I might check this out just to be sure

There's a few on the list from SAAC that might need to be added.

I don't currently include League One / PLSQ level. If someone wants to take on that project, let me know, but it's a bit too much for me and my team to handle at this point.

Started tracking Canadian coaches, at home and abroad. It's the 4th tab in the list. Check it out (it's not yet comprehensive). Still have to add a few and haven't decided whether I will add College and league one/plsq yet.
Hope you guys enjoy it.

More paper talk of Hutchinson going to West Ham. I'd love it.
Yeah, these rumours were happening last transfer period as well. I'd like him to stay at Besiktas and win the league and/or cup and then go to the EPL.

Thanks for updating. Silly to play in 7th tier Spain when you can play higher in North American, even PDL would be better I'd say. Another thing is if you have a legit contract on a 4th tier team and are young, like Fisk.
Yeah Ben Fisk actually had been training with the first team towards the end of the year, but I think he may have picked up an injury as well...

Several developing stories.
SA Scorpions have left NASL. Adrian Cann and Nana Attakora will have to find new clubs.
Also, in a very bizarre fashion. Dylan Carreiro has been released by Dundee United only hours after completing his last U20 match.

Updating re Adam Appugliesi, who we heard signed with Jove Español in Spanish 3rd div (4th tier), Valencia region. I just now found match reports on this team, but he does not seem to be playing or at least no word on his Twitter account. He's a defender it seems. But here is the real story:
He came out of an Italian academy calle Genova International, GISS, that signs players to a lot of good clubs, in Serie A and B, elsewhere. They have deals all over the world, through the owner Morris Pagniello. In Spain in the last few years they offer a club in 2B or 3rd, even 2A, a quantity of money as a "sponsorship", then the deal is that club has to take players. In the case of Cultural Leonesa in León they promised a quantity, had León set up a B team, put a GISS coach on the team and a group of young GISS players 19-21 yrs old. But shortly afterwards Cultural complained that they had been tricked and not all the money had come in.
Same with Hercules, they were promised when in 2A to get 200 thousand euros and had to take 40 players into their teams, mostly lower than the 1st team. When Hercules dropped to 2B, the quantity dropped to 90 thousand. The Hercules board then decided it was not a good deal for them. They also seem to have deals with Jumilla, in the same area, and with quite a few other teams---and then Jove Español where Appugliesi is.
I suppose players pay a lot to GISS, and the deal is then GISS gets the odd transfer fee, being the "owner" of the player, and then use the money to pay their players way into clubs at lower level so they can compete. And if someone stands out, then they get a share or all of the transfer up. They are an academy that is also a macro-agent and placement agency.
Just a month ago the deal was: Jove Español accepted a sponsorship and three players, all from GISS, the others Australian. But I am pretty sure that Adam has not played after 6 games and the others, I dont think have either.
Just to let you know he has gone back to North America and looking for a club on this side of the Atlantic. He never really played for the first team and had a few appearances for the B team.

We just did a major update of "Female Canucks Abroad". If you have the time & will and want to double check that it's comprehensive and there are no errors, please do :-).

I need some help monitoring all the MLS movements. If anyone feels like volunteering some of your time. Have a look and see if USA is complete and correct. Also, have a look under the Domestic tab, if all the Canadians in MLS, NASL and USL are correct and complete. Thanks guys!
-
Just sorted our list alphabetically (After country, tier, club). The only section remaining are the Canadian USL teams. That's next on my agenda, but need a break.

Interesting. Josh Bonsu is already at Southport. Wonder what the Canadian connection at that club is?

Looks like Gasparotto's loan with Greenock Morton is going to be extended through the rest of the year. I think that's a fantastic piece of news, especially given that he will get much more playing time against the same level of competition that he would at Rangers. Sounds like he is impressing as well, just like he impressed at Airdrieonians last year. Have to think it's only a matter of time before he makes his senior team debut.
Well, he already plays for the senior team. You mean senior team of the Rangers?

This Andreas Vaika kid at Norkopping (I probably butchered that) is interesting. He is currently repping Estonia at youth level but it also sounds like he's never gotten a call from Canada.
Yeah U21 keeper right now, but very much Canadian. He is in Toronto during the off-season e.g.

Thanks for the update. I mentioned him only because I was asked to add him to the list and wanted to do more research on him.
