Fun story. My youngster's name is Bennett. When he was a year or so old he, my wife and I traveled to Spain and hung out for a couple weeks at a friend's place in Malaga. While there the boy assume his Spanish alter ego: El Benito. He liked to play with a certain toy bus and really liked to 'park' it. The comparison was just too easy. Two years on and the nickname persists. Fortunately Floro's tenure doesn't.

Flights booked - 20% off Air North sale no less, so return to the Yukon for $360 all in. Woop woop! I'm getting in on Saturday morning and I'm considering the Matt Good show at the Vogue Theatre that night. The venue looks cool but not fun, y'know? Concerts shouldn't have seating : / ...... Anybody feeling up for this? Or has anybody seen a show here before?

Boom - ticket ordered. Super excited to be coming down for this as it will be my first Canada match since 2008 (vs Estonia in Tallinn and the Jamaica WCQ in Toronto).
Also, the ticket ordering process is super smooth. Well done. It seems way easier than folks mailing cheques to my dorm room in Ottawa prior to the WCQ series vs Belize in Kingston, and then me having to snail mail the tickets out prior to the games.

I have met Morgan before. At the time (2001) he seemed to be in a logistics and organizational position, helping me arrange ticketing and access to meet with the team in Cairo. I don't feel like he is in our "technical director" type role.

Nah. Folks should simply take responsibility for their own actions. Cyle will have to do that here.
One of the reasons I got out of tending bar as a night gig was this very mentality. There was more than one occasion on which I called a cab for somebody only to watch them wander out into the street - seemingly waiting for said cab - and then get in their own car and drive away. I didn't trust the venue's proprietor to carry the correct insurance to protect me while in his employ, so I got the hell out of there before somebody else's life choices negatively influenced my own situation. And that's too bad since bartending was a fun gig at that point in my life. I really do dislike this typically Canadian welfare state mentality though - somebody else is automatically bears responsibility for the actions/outcomes/situation of others. Folks need to step up and use the pronoun "I" for things other than assigning blame.
Back on the soccer front - this isn't the best thing for CMNT PR, and just days after Toyota signed on! The Japs must be impressed ; )

But remember that r/back was a huge hole once Jenkinson went down. Byram is not yet ready to fill the void and barely featured (though being cup-tied hurt his case). O'Brian is now gone. Antonio got skinned back there more than many would have liked, and I think his ability further forward is diminished at full back. A decent Euro run is going to require a deep squad, and if Atiba jumps then it's going to be as a r/back and utility mid.
Personally, I'm weary of Atiba going to West Ham. I like both of them too much and I want both to find success - but I'm wondering if Atiba missed his prime window. Also, I'd hate to see West Ham soured to yet another Canadian. Forrest, Bunbury and Henry didn't exactly win hearts and minds in East London.

If he goes to the Hammers then he'll likely be used as a right back since they're thin there. Jenkinson went down injured early in the season and had his loan ended. Joey O'Brian is looking to leave the club. They signed Sam Byram from Leeds but he is still young and unproven. Antonio was used there with limited defensive success, and pretty much all of West Ham wants to see him stay further up the pitch.
In the middle Hutch would be up against Payet, Lanzini, Kouyate, Noble, the aforementioned Antonio, Song and Moses (if the latter two were to sign after loans). Noble is the closest in style to Hutch and he had a great year - lots of folks wanted him to get a call to the England Euro side. Also, they have brought in a Norweigan defensive mid from Germany. Lots of competition in the middle of the park.
