Lover of all things TFC and CMNT. Also a huge Habs fan. Lover of many films including Gladiator, Bad Boys 2 and Boondock Saints
  1. The only destination I have heard for Jackson is Millwall in terms of potential moves. That wouldn't be the worst thing I guess.
  2. Milan Borjan comments including some on the loss in Honduras and why he should be Canada's number one keeper. http://lastwordonsports.com/2013/02/23/canadian-connections-milan-borjan/
  3. A couple of articles with comments from Canadian U20 player Jonathan Lao, currently playing in Germany. Interesting take on the importance of playing abroad and the state of Canadian soccer. Plus, his take on the Honduras loss. Lets just say I hope his thought process is matched across the board for young Canadian players. http://lastwordonsports.com/2013/01/26/canadian-connections-jonathan-lao-on-the-importance-of-playing-abroad/ http://lastwordonsports.com/2013/01/27/hope-is-in-the-horizon-for-canadian-soccer/
  4. Yeah a few minutes after Leroux, who had a sex change, scores on brilliant strike from outside the box.
  5. The first part was pretty impressive but Part 2 was so much better. This really was an incredible documentation of the kind of problems Canada have to overcome to win in CONCACAF. I am again so proud of the CSA for trying something like this and think that this episode even more then the last will get plenty of attention and it absolutely deserves it. Hats off to everyone involved in a project that continues to improve.
  6. Any links to the Ledgerwood goal? If he can put in a performance like he did against the United States he is certainly worth having in the starting eleven but I would much rather see Bernier and Johnson ahead of him.
  7. Jackson subbed off in the 73rd minute as Norwich trail 1-0 to Spurs. Not a bad run out for Jackson certainly didn't look at all out of place. Hope Hart takes notice and gives him the start against Panama.
  8. It is clearly no HBO 24/7 but the new "see thee rise" youtube series released by Canada Soccer deserves plenty of credit for the ideology. It is a very interesting marketing idea and one that I certainly approve of. I just wanted to commend Canada soccer for trying new things and I hope this series works well as a promotion tool to bring people to Canada Soccer.
  9. Sounds like he is headed to Bayern Munich on a "free transfer" apparently. Here are the links: http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/889443-junior-hoilett-to-disappoint-spurs-with-bayern-munich-transfer http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/football-hotline/2012/02/05/junior-hoilett-set-for-free-transfer-to-bayern-munich-102039-23737209/ http://www.eatsleepsport.com/blackburn-rovers/rovers-ace-in-german-link-1378032.html http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/bayern-munich/transfer-talk/news/bayern-munich-target-hoilett_15635.html
  10. Without Hoilett and De Guzman 2 however, this would be my roster. I know a little ridiculous but I believe in it. -----Ricketts------Jackson----- -------------Friend------------ -----Simpson------De Rosario-- --De Jong---Hutchinson---De Guzman ---Klukowski---Edgar--Mckenna--Hainault ---------------Borjan----------
  11. WOW, that is actually a very impressive roster. This actually gives up one of the best midfield in CONCACAF (at least top 3). Goodness I hope this happens. With THIS roster I think we could be a main contender to qualify for the World Cup.
  12. 2. Bundesliga To confirm Occean now has 10 goals not 11. Occean does sit in 1st place in "Scoring" which is a combined total of Goals and Assists. He has 10 goals plus 4 assists for 14 points. Championship David Edgar played the full 90 minutes for Burnley in their 2-1 win over West Ham. Burnley drew Norwich City in the FA Cup draw today setting up a possible Canadian matchup. (Jackson v. Edgar)
  13. 2. Bundesliga Just to update Olivier Occean did score and play 85' for Greuther Fuerth. His team currently sit third in the 2.Bundesliga, so possible promotion into the Bundesliga for Occean? Obviously not close to the end of the season yet but something to think about. He now has 11 goals for Greuth Fuerth this season.
  14. Scotland St. Johnstone (Haber) 2-1 Hearts-FT Haber gets the start for Johnstone good to see him starting to get into the lineup a bit more. Possible call up for Canada next round?
