See Kents post above. We should be hosting a couple GC games on a regular basis.

Wow, i'm no Trump fan, but that's a little excessive.

Are American fans so boisterous that we must shift venue for them?
I wonder if the Americans will purposely play far away from the boarder to prevent an invasion of rowdy Voyageurs from invading the stadium?

If the Cuba games are indeed home and away, I'm not sure why anyone thinks we'd do differently than play where Canada always plays similar home games.
Bradenton Florida.
... I'll get my coat ...

So I don't have the time to read 56 pages of replies, with about a month away from the first game, do we know yet what channels we can watch the games on?

While there are plans to sew about 3% artificial fibres into the 100% grass pitch, BMO has never had a hybrid pitch yet - unless it's been done in the last few days.

You know what else I like in Rugby? If the injury doesn't look serious, they just let medics come on and deal with it, while they play on.
That would end the flip-flopping in the corner of the pitch, that is simply trying to delay the game.

With the beginning of the season approaching, and being about to leave for a couple of weeks vacation, I thought I'd pop in and find out the update on how I'll actually be watching these games.
Is there any actual information buried in all the bickering?

Love this!
We're lucky that CPL wants to integrate Pro/Rel so that every games matters. I watched the Sunderland Netflix show when they got relegated to League One...man you feel the pain of that town and the crushing pressure on players.
That's how you excel, having no choice but to deliver under excruciating pressure. That's the mentality needed to be integrated in CPL and the Canadian Soccer culture all the way to Senior Level. When that happens... you don't get San Pedro Sula meltdown

You should watch how rugby uses their equivalent to VAR. It's great. And the officials are mic'ed up, so you hear them talking with the judge about what they saw, what they're looking for, etc.

Interesting take from John Herdman about CanPL on the Sportsnet website:
https://www.sportsnet.ca/soccer/herdman-gives-hope-cpl-players-aspiring-canadas-national-team/
...And while Herdman admits it will be difficult for young CPL players to make the direct jump into the national team, he makes the point that it’s not about where you start, but rather where you end up. The journey along the way can prove to be invaluable, too.
“What the CPL will provide is that springboard for young players to move to higher leagues, but it also might produce an absolute diamond in the rough. … For these young players in the CPL, from ages 17 to 23, we’re really interested in them, especially if they’re playing every week, and doing well and have an interesting profile,” Herdman said.
“The CPL is a huge positive, and I’m hoping to see after the first season if a couple of players can make the move overseas or to a higher level. You’d hope to see that, and I think that’s what this league can do, as well as push into our Olympic squad, our youth under-20 squad, and maybe push into our senior senor national team.”
He doesn't seem to see it as a rival or replacement to MLS as some posters do on here but as a springboard to it and the other "higher leagues" where CMNT players tend to play.

The three Canadian mls clubs showed that pro soccer could work here. That matters.

Having MLS franchises in Canada's three biggest markets is a BARRIER to CPL, not the other way around!
Your attitude smacks of "I'm alright Jack, screw the rest of Canada, you can watch my TFC on TV". CPL is the league that can bring professional football to many different Canadian cities, and of course is emphasizing development of Canadian talent first. Canadian football desperately needs CPL because in over 20 years MLS has done nothing but discriminate against Canadian youngsters. With CPL that is all about to change.
I realize that MLS filled a need at the time, but with the advent of CPL that need for MLS is gone.

Noticed no difference really would people have noticed a difference if we didn’t know Media Pro was doing the game?
