  1. Hey guys, just had a little idea, given the recent success of that little foothills crowdfund shirt sponsorship project. So I've recently taken over running the mens soccer league here in whitehorse, and decided I'd try out some of facebooks advertising tools. It's pretty small scale for me, I've been paying a couple bucks a day, and getting a ton of new followers(for a city of 35,000 or so anyways). I was wondering if this same concept could be applied to the V's facebook presence. If we all chip even 50 cents or so a day we could potentially get a bunch of new followers. I was thinking especially of targeting it to Vancouver for the week surrounding the match(aka right away) in the hopes of capitalizing on the buzz. Thoughts? @Tuscan you took the reins on the foothills one didn't you? Any interest in this? I've never used crowdfund before. I'm assuming @socceronly is involved in the FB page? Cheers u beauties
  2. On a thread I am too lazy to look for we were talking about making generic posters that we could print off, add some local info and post around your hometowns to boost awareness of viewing parties or other types of Rendezvous. This came back to me as I was trying to add a graphic to the Facebook event I created for the USA game on Friday. It occurred to me that having a stock of simple graphics formatted for things like FB and other formats would be really helpful. Maybe not custom for each game but even I can use MS Paint to add date, time and location to a graphic like our fighty moose and beaver or something. Anyway, are there any graphic artists willing to be abused for nothing but "exposure" and total lack of meaningful credit by the time the images are re-used and re-posted incessantly?
  3. I'm bringing out some folks for the Panama game on Friday, and an issue that continues to pop up is that these "normal, non-Voyageur" people know relatively very little about the national team. Some of them could name a few players, but for the most part the CNMT is a collection of completely unknown persons. Though lacking in knowledge, my people are not lacking in interest, and seem to want to know more. Are there any good resources out there (web sites, videos, etc) that introduce the team and its members on a fairly basic level? I've seen some of the "inspirational" videos and the recent CSA one, but I guess I'm looking for something slightly more educational and easily digestible that could serve as a quick guide to the team and highlight some of the players to watch. Any other tips for getting my people educated and interested at the same time?
