  1. They should let the Argos play there for a season!
  2. He started as a striker a number of times under Holger. I'm fairly certain that he was used exclusively as a striker at the 2002 Gold cup. JDV and Menezes were the starting CBs at that time. As far as I can recall he didn't fully settle into the starting CB role, at club level, until he was 25 or 26.
  3. He also setup the third Orlando goal with a nice back heel flip.
  4. I've had the same impression the few games that I've watched this year. Far too often he is open for a pass that appears to be the best option but his teammates elect for a different play. I was wondering if it was just my personal bias.
  5. If you include the year 2000 as a part of this century, Carlo Corazzin deserves a shout out for his performance at the 2000 Gold Cup. He had 4 goals in the tournament after scoring 3 in the qualification playoffs.
  6. Couple of articles on Tomori. https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/inside-track-fikayo-tomoris-future-2680628 https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/richard-keogh-assesses-fikayo-tomori-2677017
  7. A very good point. Looking back a couple of decades it's a somewhat similar situation to Daniel Imhof, a rather unspectacular defensive midfielder who was perhaps underrated by most Canadian soccer fans yet managed to play four seasons in the top tier in Germany. Imhof had the good fortune of playing for a coach who recognized his abilities and took Daniel with him each time he moved to a new, higher level team. Most players aren't that lucky.
  8. Unfortunately, she's a very one-footed player!
  9. Henry has always been a beast, even as a 19/20 year old he could really be dominant in the back. At that time I fully expected him to overcome his propensity for brain cramps as he matured. Sadly that hasn’t happened. He’ll be 26 in a few weeks and he still seems as error prone as he was in his youth. On the other hand his playing time was limited for a number of seasons due to injuries and he’s never played for an extended period under a competent manager. Maybe Dos Santos can guide him to finally reach his potential.
  10. Is that the one where Gregory Peck played Kevan Pipe?
  11. Akindele scores to tie the game at 2-2. Looks like he might have injured himself on the goal as he immediately signaled to the bench that he needed to come off.
  12. Kamal Miller is not listed on the roster. I wonder if that means he made the senior roster or if he's still unsigned. I can't find anything online.
  13. His contract or his injury?
