Marcus Haber is 30 in a few days and hasn't reached 60 career goals between club and country. He has never scored more than 12 goals in a season, and that was 10 years ago in USL. Marcus has actually only reached double digit scoring in a season 2 times in his career(12,10). As it stands he is not star material when you're talking about a striker. But with his build he could still have a big impact for a club, he will just have to find some sort of scoring form for me to consider him a star.
Geesh you are hard on a guy. He got 9 goals in 27 games just 2 years ago in the scot premier league. If we are supposed to be excited about Stphen Hoyle and the Swedish kid at York, why wouldnt Haber be considered a star?? He scored some beauts for Dundee over the years. And it sounds like his wages werent very high so it wont be much of a pay cut. Much more excited about that than some mid 30's chilean.

Has there been any news on Noble Okello and Julian Dunn? There was the one post from Denmark but since then everything has gone quiet.
Okello was at the LOntario final with TFC 3 a few days ago, and Dunn played was still with TFC2 as of earlyJuly but hasnt been in the last few games. TFC is probably going to hold onto them.

Anyone know about this guy, Zak Drake? I couldnt find him on the spread sheet or CSA. 26year old RB, Bethel college, was in GermanyTasmania. Is on the LasVegas roster, made the team through a open tryout with 100's of others. Kind of a cool story. Was on the Soccer today podcast awhile ago.

He got in alot of NASL games before he left, hopefully if he had stayed (and buckled down/worked hard etc) he would have put in 2 more NASL seasons, not USL. Maybe even made the jump to MLS. So sad to see, hopefully he can still turn it around.

I wonder if Fifa/Cdn citizenship makes the same mistake.....now I am frantically searching all players born in Torino, I mean Toronto.

Isn't that 4th division in Scotland? I wonder how their 4th division ranks with other 4th divisions around Europe
Oh please lets not do that!

It would be great if he was game fit and in form in September.

Anyone else catch Vic Rauter talking about Findley being a Dual citizen on wed night game vs TFC? I was half expecting a bunch of Findley talk today.

Marcus Haber....he's been knocking them in alot lately. Liverpool could use a striker, HEHHEE!!

Did you see the draft coverage, several teams were simply passing on their 4th round picks. Still good for him though, hope he sticks with at least the USL team.

Soccerpro: I hear what you are saying about the HEX and the WC. We need the special players, but most of the prospects (not the really good ones you mentioned) could do alot worse than having Ledgerwoods career. The more guys that dont dissapear at 18-24 and actually become working pros at a decent level brings up soccer and CMNT slowly but surely. Larins, Deros and Bunburys, DeVos and Forrests dont come along every day. But if we had 5-10 guys in each of the english championship, SPL, 2Bundaslega, etc and a dozen starters in MLS, that would give us a nice pool of guys to pick from and young guys would see you can be CDN and stick it out, Make a living with football.

I think if half of these prospects the MLS clubs have in the pipeline can have a career as good as ledgerwoods the CMNT will be lucky. A good soldier that always answered the call for canada (alot more caps than you would think) and 2-3rd division in germany is nothing to scoff at. Right now I am wondering if guys like JGL, Tissot, Clarke, Hamilton, Chapman etc will develop enough to make NASL starters, or maybe 3rd divsion germany some day. As opposed to being out of the game at 25. We could use about 20 more guys playing at Ledgerwoods level to get a little depth into the talent pool.

Nik Ledgerwood is done in Germany.
He posted on Instagram that he is starting a new journey and chapter closer to home.
Coaching maybe? Ottawa or Edmonton? Lets start some wild speculating.
