ehh I'm not sure I would read that much into it. Bayern was up 4-1 with 5 minutes left. In fact he was subbed in immediately after they got the 4th goal which made it seem less like a strategic sub vs "lets get Davies on few for a minutes with this 3 goal cushion".

Close source said he fought with Bustos post match and took things too far and was released.

He's also playing on Vancouver Island for Mid Isle Mariners in the VISL. The team is coached by Bill Merriman, father of Pacific FC assistant coach, Jamie.

60 plus appearances in the Croatian second division. Moderate success in a brief tenure with SFU in NCAA D2

I know you've got nearly 2000 posts, but you must be new to this board.

I remember Silberbauer from his time playing with Atiba at FCK. He was a great player.. a consistent starter/star along Hutch.
So I’m guessing Hutchinson had a lot to do with this move and helping out some former teammates in Simpson, Friend and Silberbauer. Also explains why Hutch gave the team a shout out. Hutch to Pacific FC?
I think it’s the best signing yet in CPL. A young up and comer who is getting his first shot before he becomes too expensive.. let’s be real if he was already a head coach in Switzerland he would be out of reach.
very smart move.

This profile is a little more reliable than wiki:

I'd say that's a much better resume than Riley O'Neill. Niendorf has more experience, but hopefully this guy doesn't sell all the talent to Cottbus for free.

Just keepin' it real. I don't know if you read this board a lot, but there tends to be a lot of hype. Exactly the opposite of what you state.
For instance Verhoeven was supposed to be one of the brightest prospect in USL. Well, he has barely played a game since. That's not the end of the world and who knows where his ceiling lies, but just to point out all the hype you read here ain't worth sh^t.

Based on a single game against, with all do respect an U19 team without the most promising players (as the Regionalliga West started this weekend)? I mean, great that there was a good atmosphere and all, but I wouldn't read too much into the result.

So what you're saying is we shouldn't expect him to start playing 90 minutes every game and finish the season with over 200 goals?
-
xman14 reacted to mpg_29 in Jonathan David
No way he is going to continue at the rate is currently going...so everybody best expect a cool down....probably soon.

Can you imagine the panic on the V's board when David will have his first 90 min without a goal?
"Would D2 Norway be a better league for him?"
"He should move to Grozny and play for their U21 team!"
" Would the CPL be a better option for him? "

What's with the Gent badge? Surprised the Vancouver Southsiders haven't issued a statement about this.

None of Larin, Tabla, Davies are reg starters at their Euro clubs yet...so uhhh lets not get ahead of ourselves.
Cavalinni has proven more than any of those imo.

Well not that far of a stretch don't you think? If he keeps getting clean sheet after clean sheet and he keeps doing well in USL the CSA can't ignore him any longer.

On a roll but he can definitely challenge Borjan as far as being the #1 keeper for the national team

xman14 reacted to Obinna in Mark-Anthony Kaye
Because of the mistakes, or style wise? Because style wise he definitely seems morr like Hutch, at least in my eyes.
I should also add that for me, 23 year old Kaye is like a young version of the current Hutchinson, not the 23 year old Hutchinson.
Similar situation when comparing Piette to JDG.
At 23, Julian was at Hannover I believe, and he was still more of an attacking midfielder. He never developed into a holding midfielder until we went to La Liga.
So what excites me (and to build off of @Shortdutchcanuck's post) is that MAK and Piette today are similar to the central midfield versions of Hutchinson and JDG from the 2010 and 2014 qualifying cycles.
I am just commenting on their style/role at this point.
I don't know how MAK and Piette will evolve, but to have those two guys in that role from a young age (23) is awesome.
Assuming they continue in to develop as central midfielders, we can have them, more or less in their prime, for 2 full cycles, (2022 & 2026).
And then it is the players around that MAK/Piette spine, such as Davies, Larin, Cavallini, Hoilett, maybe Millar, that really excites me. Hell I would even through Osorio into that group.
Point is, Hutchinson and JDG were not surrounded with such players. There was Dero for a while, Radz for a while, Simpson for a while, but to be honest I think our current crop is shaping up to be much better both in quality and depth.
