I watched the match in the company of a TFC fan who bitched about almost everything  Osorio did which was way off base, I thought he played quite well as he usually does with his club team! Even a break out year being arguably TFC’s most consistent performer and winning the CCL Golden Boot hasn’t stopped the haterz who populate the stands at BMO!

The good thing is he should get a chance to play some minutes for the Impact and we'll have a better idea of how he fits in, I have been mildly impressed with what I've seen so far, I agree with @Thomas though, I have Godinho starting ahead of him just because he's much more experienced in a decent league at this point! It's really nice to finally be getting some options in the Right Back position, much better than playing CB's (Henry) and wingers (Petrasso) there!

Just getting back into town after a fantastic weekend in Vancouver. Going to the game live, and meeting many Voyageurs from BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan (in addition to reacquainting with others) really renewed my desire to support the national team in the stands. It's so great to see the great times everyone has with each other in person, in contrast to this site where it feels like negativity rules the world.

Fair points but I don't think ppl are praising him the next great one by any means. The guy has barely any media attention anyways, let alone overwhelming love on this board.
To say "he's overrated" I disagree though, he's looked solid and comfortable in all his appearances, I think complimenting his performances so far is justified. Agree though, we will see how he looks vs stronger opposition, if of course given the opportunity. In my eyes, he is deserving to be called back, but that's Herdman decision.
I was pointing out he's played solid, he's 20 yrs old, and in my eyes is in a solid place to develop both long term(next 36 months) and short term(next 8 months).
"Exciting prospect for us" were my exact words and I didn't say anywhere he is our #1 RB.
If anything the more depth, competition, and stronger we are at RB the better for the CMNT as a whole.

Honestly I think ZBG has been average to fine, I don't think he's that good to be brutally honest here. And it's not like he has played bad for Canada, not at all what I'm saying; but we really haven't been tested so these are the games Herdman and his staff saw were best to bring on the youngsters
For me Godihno is my starting Right-Back without a question! He's been excellent for Hearts and it's unfortunate that he couldn't play vs French Guiana because of the turf at BC Place. And since they didn't utilize fullbacks after the NZ Friendly in Spain, he only has 1 cap while Zachary has 3.
Hes gone from Lyon's Academy to their reserve team that plays in the French 4th Division, nowhere near the first team of OL, as the talent and quality gap is too far in between! Look he's 20, don't mean to be harsh on the guy but he's a little overrated
Back to my point, not only has he not been tested with Canada against these minnows, but he has 5 minutes of professional career under his belt. And that came as a sub this month while on loan at the impact
if he doesn't play from here until the gold cup I just don't see how he's in the 23 man squad
Should Juan Cordova start to play again with Huachipato in Chile's Primera Division and rack up lots of appearances then he should be Godihno's back up
If not, well then it's a coin flip pretty much; cause your second RB would be without much form
Anyhow to finish on a good note, the kid does have potential and ability but let's hold down the breaks here for a second. His career is just getting started and still has lots to prove

Herdman has achieved what he was supposed to do so far, because of the level of competition it’s hard to get a definite read on his tactics, that will come with time once we get playing stronger opponents! I was ok with his starting 11 and formation yesterday, I wasn’t overly impressed with his substitutions as others have mentioned!

I've been going to TFC games for a long time.  He has had a target on his back for years now and I never fully understood it.  Many of those naysayers have become silent after last season.  However, many are waiting for the first slip up to put him down again.
As a TFC fan and Osorio fan I stand with him.  I know him and he is incredibly passionate but it is still no excuse to act like that after a substitution.  We are becoming deep enough that little things like that may cost him an integral role in the squad.
I also don't believe he is one of those players that "must" be in the game.  Players like Hoilett, Arfield, Davies & David to me are sure starters but he would be in that next level of players in my opinion.  One thing going for him is that he plays attacking mid which we are a little thin in comparison to our defensive mid position.  Like I've said in other posts if Davies & Hoilett are on the wings, might as well move David as attacking mid and sacrifice Osorio.
I respect that everyone is entitled to an opinion though.

I admire your passion and pride for our country, and respect the support you show to your son (as a Father myself). In my opinion parents and positive role models can have a huge positive impact on someone's success.
As someone mentioned above, just avoid the very minor public criticism, that's all, but plz don't leave.
Cheers and safe travels back to Europe.

Yup, I saw it. They also spoke about the league. I think it was great advertising.
That ad is well done, for every team you see the logo and colours, an image of where they are from, field, stadium and/or players in training, and a fan sequence.
For all our talk about MediaPro, overall the CPL has a good set of logos, well distributed colours that so far are fairly clear to differentiate, and handles the video work well, across the board. So our designed image in AV format is IMHO good to very good.

This ^ 100%. I honestly don't think, any other player on the field last night or any other one of our CMNT pulls a hissy fit.
If anyone deserved a minor hissy fit, it would have been Cav sitting on a potential hat trick, when he likely would have had a few more chances.
What does Cav do? Looks slightly disappointed for 2 seconds, but immediately high fives a few teammates, salutes crowd, give props to Herdman and players on the bench, cely's with teammates and fans post game.
I'll support Osorio regardless but hopefully that can be addressed asap, it simply should not happen.

I don’t think we played great, I attribute that to lack of matches together against an opponent who were being allowed to play a dangerous physical style on an awful artificial surface! I am looking forward to playing a quality opponent soon to see where we really are as a squad, that will come soon enough now that we are officially qualified for the Gold Cup!

I think some are piling on Piette due to his part played in the goal conceded, I agree with Spurs besides the balls up for their goal I thought he played well, he did rush some passes, in some cases I don't blame him as the opposition were getting away with some very aggressive physical play, he made some nice defensive break ups and started our attack with nice accurate passes!

I thought he was an absolute revelation today. Hardly put a foot in wrong, and he had a lot to deal with on his side, often in tight quarters. He was quite good going forward as well. Very impressive overall.
