  1. Some of our guys are playing in reserve leagues in Europe, probably not too different for them.
  2. How did Guadeloupe only manage three goals against Saint Martin? The French territories we thought very strong (Guadeloupe, French Guiana and Martinique) have actually all been a little underwhelming thus far.
  3. Watching this Saint Martin vs. St Kitts and Nevis from Anguilla and that is a rough-looking field. Looks very water-logged. I swear I see puddles in the technical area.
  4. Wow. Apparently Bayern Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey decided not to play for Jamaica this weekend because the JFF didn't also call up his younger brother Kyle who plays in the Austrian Second Division.
  5. Whoa. Suriname just had a goal scored on a penalty kick cancelled because the kick taker stopped during his run-up. I haven't seen that in a long time.
  6. Final Score: Guyana 8 - 0 Turks and Caicos Islands Mississauga native Emery Welshman had a hattrick.
  7. Final Score: Martinique 1 - 0 Puerto Rico The Puerto Rican keeper was fantastic. On another day, Martinique scores 4 or 5 goals.
  8. Have you ever tried toasted banana bread with nutella? If not, you're missing out.
  9. Puerto Rico's keeper (who plays for Oklahoma City in the USL) is keeping the the game scoreless so far. Saved two 1-on-1 opportunities already, including a purely instinctual one in the 32nd minute. 0-0 still vs. Martinique.
  10. Normal doesn't matter, banana bread is delicious either way.
  11. Nicaragua doesn't play any games at home. Their "home" games are played in Costa Rica due to the civil unrest in Nicaragua.
  12. I just switch back and forth. Although the Bahamas vs. Antigua and Barbuda one completely crashed on me shortly before the 80th minute.
  13. Goal differential obviously is has an effect in this preliminary table. I was meaning more in regards to FIFA rankings. I'm interested if finishing with a +20 GD in this round instead of a +25 could mean we end up playing the likes of Mexico or USA earlier in the next WCQ cycle.
  14. With the new ELO-like FIFA rankings, do scorelines count, or just results?
  15. Should be interesting to see if Grenada is as bad as the Curacao game indicated, of it was just an aberration.
  16. I don't know how the Bermuda vs. Antigua game ended. Stream dinked out in the 80th minute with Antigua up 6-0 Former TFC player Reggie Lamb currently has a brace, and has missed two good chances for a hattrick. Bermuda 9 Sint Maarten 0.
  17. I predicted Antigua & Barbuda winning, but only 3-0.
  18. 7-0 for Bermuda over Sint Maarten. In the first half.
  19. WOW Really poor defending by Bahamas. Loose ball in the 6-yard box in front of the keeper and the defender casually rolls the ball along the ground right to an Antiguan attacker. No wonder they were down 4-0 at halftime.

    Crew to Austin?

There are at least 3 current NFL owners that own multiple teams. Robert Kraft, Stan Kroenke and Paul Allen. That is just off the top of my head.
  21. Perhaps we can avoid blooding him in? It may make future players less likely to play for Canada.

    Crew to Austin?

A bunch of sources are reporting that Jimmy Haslam, who owns the Cleveland Browns, is going to step in and save the Crew. The rumoured process is that this is an expansion buy wherein the new Columbus team keeps the name, history and roster of the team and Frank Precourt moves the current "team" to Austin.
  23. Add some landmines in the pitch and we'd basically have Mutant League Soccer.
  24. Haven't seen it here (I haven't spent much time here in the past 3-4 years though) but other sections of the internet seem to be blowing their collective gaskets over sites like DAZN. Basketball Canada's games are on DAZN, so lots of people whining, "we can't even watch the games." Champions League, Europa League, La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A, all on DAZN. "People are going to just stop watching." I'd rather spend $150 a year and get to pick which games I watch than pay $100 a month for a cable package where some pencil-dick in Toronto who doesn't realize there is a sports world outside of hockey decides which game I'm stuck with. I love DAZN. NFL streaming, English Championship, La Liga, Serie A, Bellator, Boxing, Basketball Canada, MLB Network all for $150 a year? Hells yeah. They got a bunch of NCAA stuff too, if they had College Basketball as well I'd be super stoked. They could probably get African Champions League rights for Canada pretty cheap. I'd be down with that.
