  1. Paddy has there been a good side presented here?
  2. Kennedy was assassinated and the CSA are incompetent, Santa Claus doesnt exist. None of these are conspiracies sorry to break it to you so close to Christmas. Suck it up boys start acting like men.
  3. Mitchell follows in the footsteps of the organization he represents. The organization he represents almost perfectly. The organization that is embarrassing and constantly imposing conflict and confusion on everyone who touches it. The organization that's greatest victories or accomplishments are depressingly surpassed by its own under achievement. The organization that takes potential and turns it instantly into disappointment. The organization that constantly asks questions and provides no answers. The organization that has nothing to be proud of and elusively asks whats the problem while pocketing another coin? The organization that rests on its meager laurels. The organization that acts in an autonomous, selfish, incompetent manner. Refuses to do the honourable or even respectable thing. The organization that requires scrutiny and mainly perverse inspection to find fault with everyone else but so easily demands respect and honour. The organization that bares no responsibility and divides its own people into a splintered bitter mass. This organization is unharmonious and asynchronous with success and honour. Mitchell is in harmony and synchronous with this organization there is no doubt.
  4. I have seen the glory of the world cup and watching them play in it. Our game in Canada was going to surpass all other. It was on the the doorstep, the door just had to be opened it was unlocked. Then it all came crumbling down agonizingly piece by piece slowly very slowly. Canadian owners, administrators, marketers, agents, who put us on the doorstep were systematically removed abused or ignored. Replaced one by one year by year with autonomous greedy shallow limited intellects with horrible business acumen. Our numbers grew to surpass hockey and yet our game was dying. I was gut wrenched as I watched the promising leagues, players, owners and fans become watered down versions of their original promise. The CSA board began gathering and coercing followers and volunteers who could not recognize the indiscretions and including cronies of similar mind to join them. Piece by piece they ensured their autoimmunity by changing rules and committees and organization and processes. I knew it was dead then. I cared enough to continue fighting and supporting our game for years after. However watching embarrassment after embarrassment dismantle all promise from year to year even my passion was gone. Some of you never witnessed the glory and you didnt witness the dismantling and a lot of this is new for you. So you dont comprehend the whole picture but what you have seen even in the last five years has been enough for you to comprehend a lot of what I am reporting. Their are people here and still in Canadian soccer that have been around a lot longer than I have fifty, sixty, and seventy . I know of two even older gentleman still working in soccer in Canada.. Most of these people dont read or post in these forums but they are doing private soccer ventures and we meet and see each other all over Canada and just have fun discussing the game, we rarely mention the CSA, all of us know the story verbatim some of these people even lived it. Thats the joy, the care, the passion left for me. There is so much beautiful Canadian soccer happening completely outside of the CSA auspices and around the world. Even when my own country Canada is not named I still enjoy it immensely. When I get to witness glimpses of success by our teams and players it still makes me feel great. Most of all I am sad for myself and all of you on this board who obviously love our game and only get to see glimpses of success. You people who care and commit to our sport who so sadly just end up being splintered and divided into discussing the embarrassments and watching the debacles unfold of others. I care about that. I dream about one day that we all see more than just glimpses.
  5. This was ripe for the picking ten to fifteen years ago. It really started to rot on the vine about five years ago and now its a pile of crappy stinking food on the ground the CSA is still harvesting and selling to the Canadian soccer public. Timing ? No wonder the CSA goes on oblivious in perpetuity.
  6. Che must have a relative here in Canada TFC maybe? You think Bob Iarusci would be able to get a session with the minister privately and research possible steps with him.
  7. I read the report and the similarities are clear Vic your right. I guess my concern is Vic I dont see a way to dismantle this group unless w-5 or someone else cares to do a report on them. Or a referendum of some kind. The other issue is I dont beleive anyone in the soccer public would support or contribute to the intention. Most on here dont seem to care enough to and I dont really see anyone else who has any initiative or gumption except the CSF but their methods were impotent to begin with. If you get the CSF to write a report and have the minister of sport in Canada present it like the Australians did thats a possibility.
  8. OK Richard that sounds like English to me and delivered with sincerity and almost an opinion anyway. So the stripes are a lighter shade of black now I guess. Some people are bad and there are conspiracies and there is greed and corruption. Most of us are capable and strong enough to comprehend this. There were and are people running the CSA who first, are at the very least greedy. Some are incompetent and some are immature. Probably the chemistry of most groups and organizations. The greedy usually expose themselves because they have no limits the incompetent expose themselves by their own actions the immature expose themselves constantly and publicly if not immediately, soon after. The corrupt have intent and sometimes are discovered by law enforcement. You can change the rules and rename the positions but if the same people remain it is redundant as it will inevitably end up with the same results. The people dont need to be removed or fired just because they were greedy, incompetent or corrupt or solely to blame or persecute someone. They need to removed if you want a different result than the abject failure they accomplished. Analogies usually are fruitless but sometimes they might trigger the gist of the concept so here is one.You wouldn't let a bus driver continue to drive if you found out he would not agree to ever turn left. Or that he found out by turning right he made more money and forgot about the passengers need to turn left and promised to try to remember next time. You wouldnt then decide to alter the steering wheel so he had to turn left and you wouldnt change the rules to a larger font. The point is he has decided he will not turn left not that he cant or is not able to turn left. You would remove the driver. The CSA board is dysfunctional not because it didnt have the right tools it is because the people themselves are dysfunctional . The system they created is also dysfunctional. Most of them are greedy and most of them dont even look for competent ways or means to do things because they dont care. Not what they focus on, they do promise to remember next time though. The only people who could change or cause the CSA members to change or resign also dont care enough to even investigate it unless it significantly reflects publicly negatively on them. That is why the CSF with all their good intentions an intelligent forethought were powerless to cause any significant change. That is why we have another round of abject failure this year and a perpetual circle of failure for the following decades. The CSF and another poster here pointed out that with the lack of will from the amateur volunteers ,who only want to continue on for their own selfish and egotistical (not unreasonably in my opinion) reasons will also never support change and worse always contribute to splintering of one large power to small districts and groups. They do now see as fans that this failure and incompetence at a national level is embarrassing however they also can dismiss that as not their responsibility. Splintering is precisely the problem. The ridiculous confusion of splintered constitutional rules and programs, policies and special groups and committees amongst the current CSA is clearly dysfunctional. However it serves the volunteers and the board of the CSA perpetual status quo.(these must all be eliminated and erased and simplified, clarified and recreated from bottom up) The splintered differences between the national professional level and the amateur level.(This should be divided and run separately) The splintered differences between the CMNT and the CWNT(this should be allocated clearly by a pecentage, even if it is 50/50) The splintered selfish opinion of fans from one province or town within a province to another makes the fan power impotent.(The fact that we are all Canadians should take precedent in all of our minds over any provincial existence) The splintered ethnic opinion only adds to the impotence and support of the status quo.(The fact that we are all Canadians should take precedent in all of our minds over any ethnic existence) Most of us know these splinters all to well and most of us cant overide our prejudices or ego so the suggestions in brackets arent likely to occur. It takes one united intention from us all to, dismantle all of it and remove every person and position to override all of this splintering. Simplify, clarify and start again with every step clearly seen by everyone. I dont feel this forum is the proper medium for proposing actual reforming steps and I dont feel the majority of the people here have the will or desire to change or discuss it. It might be a proper medium for discussing a referendum or something very similar to what the Australians did but that would be the extent of it for this forum.
  9. Richard you have adopted new stripes, kindah. Same greedy people, different positions, with different rules, acting and behaving exactly the way they did before, except of course even more discreetly thanks to the new rules you suggest. The entire CSA paid staff must all leave and resign otherwise its just more crap. The entire system redesigned and every word reread and analyzed, only after their all gone. Nothing will change, just like I said about the the CSF, they have no chance of altering anything significant. A referendum maybe.
  10. It does have something to do with financial considerations and certainly the CSA.. I comprehend the difference between the CSA and the CMNT when choosing to play however they definitely have cause and effect interaction. Whether you think it should, is a moral question, and I allow for your opinion on that, but that also takes into account financial aspects. Because OH stated he would play at the senior level and then did not, just leaves a huge gap of possibilities and information for me. Again for instance if the CSA "asked" in the boorish threatening way they did previously it becomes a plausible reason amongst the myriad of possibilities in this gap.. Fawning never occurred so it isnt relevant. However respect and mature negotiations never occurred and that is a relevant point. The CSA is an integral part and so are the finances. Deciding arbitrarily what is relevant or what convicts OH as a whore is solely opinion not fact. In fact one of the main reasons people dont like it is because he chose finances over nation. Ok fine, but it doesnt remove them as relevant. You can choose to focus on OH being a whore but for me OH is a just a part of the CSA bungling and selfish attitude in this and numerous other player negotiations and even discovering players is overwhelming a hammer to any chance of us as fans enjoying this sport and our players participating in it.
  11. Maybe you have a large head but it seems like you have room for this given your post. It is financial because if OH picks CMNT, then his club Bayern doesnt pick him or pay him and he loses significant money if he doesnt make the team. He plausibly never plays for Manu either. As many other CMNT players have stated they have lost money choosing CMNT and being dropped or having to move to poorer paying clubs, so it is related! Now back to the people with tiny heads OH has now stated that he was told to choose by a CSA official. Until confirmed this stands as plausible, given CSA past immaturity and incompetence in player negotiation and relationships, more than likely. At the time he was at a critical stage with Bayern and likely being given inferred ultimatums, if not stated verbatim "leave for that 190th ranked two bit disorganized CSA CMNT and you return at the back of the line." Most of you have agreed and I do too, if he played for Canada no or very little difference in our results. Canada is deservedly ranked where they are and are not one or two players away from being in the top 20. His agent rightly would have made actual statements like "no way kid" Deguzman was very similar except with Netherlands and his club. Reading what Papa Guzman said about the CSA treatment of his son it certainly puts the onus for departure squarely back on the CSA misfits at that time. Makes this decison a slam dunk, no brainer, unless you have a extremely strong patriotic concept that you would sacrifice your career, large amounts of money, fame and world cup participation for; a very low ranked, completely disorganized CMNT, run by selfish people who had already threatened you and others . I do wonder how many of you actually living with that decision at that age would truly choose the CSA and the CMNT. I know you dont know the answer but I doubt many of you have truly considered it or even understand what that would feel like. If you do feel hes a whore you inherently must abide and live by the same standards. I dont know if I would, and I have made serious financial and emotional sacrifices in the past for integrity. I certainly feel I would, more so if you remove the CSA idiotic ultimatums from this scenario, Our corporate world and looming one world order has made quite a few of national leaders, Presidents, choose profit over their own people and snub patriotism. The borders have changed and will always change and now more than ever, I beleive patriotism means very little to quite a few citizens and they are following their nations leaders into the one world order concept. Given the very ambiguous nature of National teams now playing players of questionable genealogy or citizenship certainly makes these decisions more prominent. The above does not prove OH is or is not a whore. It certainly does add more proof that the CSA are definitely losing players and will likely lose a lot more in the future, patriotically inclined or not.

  13. Pellerud directly killed the spirit of the team and then the individual players. Success of the WNT is paltry and their only success comes directly from the innate skill of the players on the park and as always can never be attributed to Pellerud or the CSA only despite them. Vegan recovery theory or not Kara is no where near the player she was and it will be interesting to see how much attitude plays a part in her recovery when mini me is gone.
  14. I thought that Lang would become the next Hooper but she has really lost all of her spark. I am certain Pellerud's style didn't help her. I am praying thats most of the cause because she has all the potential of being one of the best. Does she have an injury thats shes hiding?
  15. well if the Brazil match did not enlighten us to the woeful state of our team then I vote for Hooper to become player manager
  16. Yes good idea at least we can celebrate and honour her in public. A banner and or a pic from every who can bring one would be cool. Hoopers Troopers!
  17. The Canadian soccer fan deserves to celebrate with our best player and enjoy our sport. I will enjoy it personally in the only way I can but it is disappointing and limited. The opportunities have been so rare to celebrate Canadian soccer success because of the CSA even this would seem huge. I really feel for the younger fans who have rarely seen this sport in all its glory in Canada. Cheers guys hold your head up it cant get much worse I think!
  18. Charmaine hands down. When will CSA be mature enough and competent enough to honour her and do it properly like FIFA has done already. They have taken so much joy from the Canadian soccer fan if they are indeed a new competent mature and capable CSA, lets see a minor example of this by starting with Charmaine.
  19. I would vote for Clare Rustad she is obviously the "greatest" player if not her then surely Emily Zurer is truly a "great" player if not on the field these two women sure are off the field. I can not beleive FIFA has not honoured these two but chose Hooper maybe FIFA doesnt know these girls off the field. I know Sepp Blatter wants to know them off the field and oh yeah he wants them to wear tighter shorts. Thats also why I consider Josh Simpson a "great" player and "de Rosario" a distant second I was going to say "de Vos" but these two really burnt their britches off the field, mouthing off about how the CSA was incompetent and stuff. Can you guys imagine my hall of fame or all star games? So to recap Richard and I have Andrea Neil, Clare Rustad, and Emily Zurer not necessarily in that order though. Not!
  20. Lets be more accurate about using the word "great". We currently dont have any great players on our team, we have a couple of very good players who may or may not become "great" including Sinclair. Hooper was a great player and their are other great players on other teams but not ours presently. It reminds me of how the leaf scouts, writers and fans call some of their current and past players "great" their kidding right? Only one player Sundin, is even close and like Sinclair the leafs Kaberle may become "great". That is why the leafs suck so lets not catch that bad habit of over estimating and labeling players unreasonably as "great".
  21. I agree jpg75 Germany is easily the best and also China will be there as well. As stated the ranking is actually moot. Canada is second last in a ten team league. You can flip stats around until your blue in the face but Canada has not won anything to be proud of or beaten anyone significant. Some of our stars will emerge and we may even surprise in the Olympics, lets all hope so but no relatively sane Canadian fan has seen a positive progress in the last year or so. Canada will drop dramatically when the league has 20 teams of high caliber instead of five in the next five years or so. The same CSA and probably Pellerud will be directly involved at that time too, so its all over. All I am doing from now on is focus on the individual players skills and their careers, the team is unfortunately likely to get worse.
  22. The country is Canada. This is not a club team its our national team.. You cant arbitrarily pick colours. There is red or white. No blue and no black. The hockey teams have black and it looks like crap compared to the white and red anyway. If you not going to play in the countries colours dont call the team Canada.
  23. I admired his superstar achievements so much. That man made a lot out of what he was given. I had some personal contact with him on and off the park and always found him to be up and cheery. He was not my favourite commentator by a long shot but I admire him and I am truly sad to hear of this. I thought he brought some life to the broadcast and I never knew of any health problems with him so this is a surprise. Canada lost a good one. Cheers Brian and yes my condolences to his family.
  24. The move is positive but in perspective its not remarkable. There are really only 10 teams and only the top five are excellent teams. Not comparable to the Mens rankings simply because the history is too short and the pool of players is extremely small comparably. It would be a disaster if Canada did not make the top ten of a ten team league. I also feel that we will see a greater amount of players in womens soccer at this level and much better teams in the future. Given the state of affairs in the CSA I dont see us going up in the future this might be are best. The FIFA rankings have been anything but objective in the past. Given the difficulty in assessing such a weak group that only has parity because it is in its infancy as a sport I cant find much fault with these rankings.
