  1. I hope there are no asthmatics playing in Winnipeg today. The smoke from the Saskatchewan forest fire is insane.
  2. i remember seeing him play in Winnipeg at the Pan-Am games. He certainly had wild skill. I hope he does well in this new chapter of his life.
  3. Maybe I don't know how to use the search function on this site but I can't find any reference to this player in this thread so here is another Canadian prospect playing abroad: http://www.colocolo.cl/equipos/formacion/sub-13/ Diego Reveco is born in Winnipeg Yeah, 13 is pretty young but I figured why not throw it out as Colo Colo are one of Chile's biggest teams. The mom and dad tag team living in Chile with him but the dad might be there full time now.
  4. FFS, Mods, isn't this just cause for some kind of yellow card or warning?
  5. Firefox won't make any of CanadaSoccerTV's videos work but I can get the vids using an ancient version of IE.
  6. I hope to be there for the second half with my son (stupid hockey camp).
  7. Wrong. This is just awesome. See for yourself. Snorfle.
  8. I might be TOTALLY naive, but I wonder if there is any chance that these guys are the victims of tainted food products. In the cycling world, which has a long and sordid history of doping abuses, Alberto Contador's positive test for clenbuterol has sort of been accepted to be the result of eating tainted meat. I'm pretty sure that almost all the animals we consume are chock full of growth hormones and steroids.
  9. unless there is a serious amount of precipitation in the next little bit, it looks like I'm missing the game as the boy has a soccer game.
  10. I don't believe I have anything on my calendar so I willl watch this space and attend whichever establishment can show the game for us.
  11. I wasn't really into the game in the 70's or early 80's, and I certainly wasn't into Italian soccer at that time, but I wonder how "hardmen" guys like Gentile managed in Serie A? Everything I've read about him says he was a monster. With all the simulation that is associated with soccer (I'm not going to single out any particular nation lest we start our bi-annual "you're a racist" bull crap thread) how did he manage to stay on the pitch?
  12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMvvT0StT48&feature=related I haven't seen any follow up to the goal or fight. That was a bad scene.
