I will risk opening some old wounds to inform you guys that Bryan Crisante has been linked to Man U. This is a rumor, but goal and the sun are reporting that he is being considered as Fellaini's replacememt. The plan would be for Atalanta to exercise their 10 million pound buy-option from Benfica, then turn around and sell to Manchester United for 31 million pounds.

Not a CMNT player but he was recently eligible and it's fun to dream "what if". We were close....

Atalanta's purchase option on Cristante is 4 million Euros, not 10 millions pounds. They have already said they will be exercising that option. All of this discussion on him is another reason why his thread should not have been locked, just moved. I have been posting about him here:

  2. @Unnamed Trialistcan you find this kid anywhere in Spain?

    Alex Dedame – Valencia, Spain
Alex played as a winger or attacking centre midfielder in our HPP team in Seattle this past year.  His performances caught the eye and was subsequently offered a try out at Thompson River University.  Alex was with the Upper Island centre for four years and is now training and competing in a soccer academy in Valencia, Spain. Here he hopes to gain a professional contract whilst continuing his studies.

Goff says that Tissot was offered a contract and Kyle Porter was released (from a trial, presumably). Completely forgot about Porter.

Kyle Porter on trial with Tampa Bay Rowdies?

Here's our bench for tonight's match against the @PhilaUnion, including several trialists and training players.

Joel Waterman (20 years old, Aldergrove, BC) has signed with Kitsap Pumas (PDL - USA 4th tier)

This tweet says that former Whitecaps residency player Vaggeli Boucas will be playing with Kitsap as well. Don't see him listed on the club roster on the website though.

Good luck to @16Waterman @VaggeliB with @KitsapPumas the first of many big things for these two ?

I'm sure some might, but I don't think it's going to be some kind of seismic shift - Ewart is a special case in terms of talent. Most 17yr olds who aren't attached to an MLS academy I would wager 99/100 would go NCAA for the main fact of getting an education.

I think the only kids you'll see doing that are ones who are elite players who can't get into a top NCAA program.

Ewart was in the Whitecaps system for about a year and he was good. I am unsure whether he left due to discipline or the new MOU that the players have to sign. I'm not going to speculate on his scholastic abilities.
