ESG Shawn reacted to gator in CPL General
We can poke all kinds of holes in this format and there have been some much better looking proposals posted on here, we don't know what has gone on behind the scenes, it's the 1st year for 7 new CPL pro teams and we actually have some matches scheduled to look forward to, I personally find it exciting despite the flaws!

Crunched some numbers based on the ticket availability data found here: https://oss.ticketmaster.com/aps/fcedmonton/EN/buy/details/19EDFS
As of December 13 at 11:19PM mountain, there are 1,515 tickets available for purchase. Based on capacity data of 5,100 being thrown around, my back of the napkin calcs say that 3,585 season tickets have been sold. This assumes they haven't set a bunch aside for match day walk ups. I'm also not sure if the 5,100 capacity includes suites and the premium pitch side tables.
Regardless, based on the preliminary data, this seems extremely promising.

Playing around with the Virtual Venue gives you really nice dynamic renders of the new Clarke Stadium.
Super pumped.

Member #169 checking in. Got my season ticket selection call on Friday, and I was able to convince 6 friends to join up with me. We will be in 108C, and can't wait for the season to begin!

At the club launch event, it was made pretty clear that the pillars will be part of the final design.

On a more positive note, I am very happy with the renders that were posted. I am getting more and more excited to take in games at Spruce Meadows this spring. I do think the uniqueness and quaintness of this venue will be worth the commute.
Hell, I may even catch myself taking in esqutarian events one day, who knows!

https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/331460-melwood-photos-liverpool-training-christmas-eveLiam’s in training with the first team over Christmas... a few shots from today’s session... nice to see him line up against Kieta... Liam looks very serious(Right side beside Lallana behind Henderson!) but he is very happy for the opportunity... lots of fixtures of the next few weeks

While our kits may be Nike templates used around the world, the real exciting part for me is the non-kit gear.
Take a peek online at some of the teamwear (jackets, tracksuits, shirts, sweaters etc.) that Nike produces for other national teams and clubs - I can't wait to see the Canada badge on that gear (although my wallet won't like it).

Lol of course, I thought the Voyageur part made it obvious!

Check out the Virtual Venue for Clarke for high res renders and views from each section.

Those premium tables near the benches could be a really neat perspective and experience.
Can't wait to see this place full for the derby vs Calgary.

ESG Shawn got a reaction from CDNFootballer in CPL TV Contract
On the topic of production, I'm guessing Pacific and Halifax are the two clubs that will need some investment into broadcasting capabilities at the stadiums. I'm not sure about York.
Cavalry, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Hamilton shouldn't have any issues broadcasting HD content.
The reason I bring this up is that the product needs to look professional on TV. To capture the average viewer, you can't have a TV camera pointed at the hydropole with no fans on that end in Victoria. I'm guessing people smarter than me have considered this in the stadium designs.

ESG Shawn reacted to ted in CPL TV Contract
When showing us renderings of the stadium at a meet the owners night they talked about the cameras being mounted on the hydro pole side facing the full stands. They are well aware that they need to make the stadium look as good and as full as possible on TV.
