Refund and Donation tracking wrinkles

People with different system emails and Pay Pal emails.... 

This makes it not possible to automatically issue a refund from with the site's eCommerce system.

For Donations it's hard to track back when people have  john.doe@gmail  and spookyfish83@mungbung.com  as their Pay Pal address.

Emailing people and sorting it all out.  However, people also often use catchall/trap emails for some registrations which they never check....adding further wrinkles and delays.

I can totally see how/why companies pay handsomely for a good ERP.
