2010 Voyageurs Christmas Card Thread

Recommended Posts

Grigorio, I just found my hard drive and I think I have the AI on there. Please email me ASAP and I will get it over to you. Canadian.voyageurs (at) gmail (dot) com.

As a note, I really need to get the design over to the print house right away to get everything organized in time. Can you give me an estimate of when you will be complete? I am really hopeful your design is better than mine

Get it directly http://www.eng.uwaterloo.ca/~edean/VoyageurLogos.ai

However I am unsure if I am going to leave it up for very long as I do not own it. Please drop msg in this thread once you retrieve it.

^ WOW...YOU definitely have a bit of talent. Good work champ. That is exatly the image I wanted to put together. Can you also design the back and inside?

The back should just be a small V's logo in the center on white background with something like

"Christmas 2010"

"Designed BY: (your name or board name)"

just below the V's Logo, you know how they do it on the back of Christmas Cards

The Inside should have the same font that you used for the front on white card stock with red lettering

"Best Wishes to You and Your Family this Holiday Season.

May this Upcoming Season be Filled with Club and National Team Success.

From All of The Voyageurs, Your United Voice in the Stands."

Something like that. Take up a good amount of the card and if people want to write a personal message they can do it on the other side of the card which will be blank.

Cost of the cards should be already covered. However if you want to donate for postage, I will split-up and and send a cheque to all parties that are mailing out to help defray everyone's cost.

Please send donation to Canadian.Voyageurs (at) gmail (dot) com and I will ensure the money gets to the guys that are sending the cards abroad. Thank you for your generocity.

This is looking a lot better than what has gone out in recent years. I'm starting to get excited!

I am glad to hear it. I am also glad this will be complete earlier on and hopefully make it to the lads before Christmas and not after they return from break.

Maybe I don't understand. The Paypal account is Canadian.Voyageurs (@ )gmail(dot)com. If you want to send money don't you just log into your paypal account and send money to the above email address? See the website below to complete. If I am missing something please let me know. I work better with Email Money Transfer from your bank account but Paypal works just fine. Thanks again.

HOW MANY CARDS SHOULD I ORDER???

Can anyone take the list on the first page and start putting names beside it so we can get a rough idea of how many cards we need to get?

I check in to say that I found the AI file at last, and I see that Razcle has taken care of it. Boy, it's good there was more than one copy of that thing kicking around.

So let me get this straight, you are going to order all the cards and send them out to us? Previously we were all responsible for our own printing. Of course I like it better if you have to handle the printing :).

Anyway, I'm travelling so I can't give you a number until Saturday, but I'm in favour of all capped (at any level, including women) players + jono and hoillet. Last time that was upwards of 60.

Payment Recieved. Thanks, that will go a long way to helping with postage for all these cards to our hard-working volunteers

Saviola. I will send you a package of cards & envalopes so all you have to do is mail them out. I would also like to send a bit of $$ for postage, just need to figure out how to do that, especially when you work in euros.

100 Cards of the design on page 1 (thread 2) have been made and red envelopes have been ordered. Volunteers still needed to take a region or maybe more specifically individual players, if we are down to individuals in a region. Please help out if you can.

I know I'm not really involved with this but would it be an idea to send cards to Jonathan de Guzman and Daniel Fernandes. Who knows, a little goodwill could go a long way.

+ 2 Players whos names I won't mention playing in Spain and Greece

You hit the nail on the head. Looks like I am not the only one thinking this.

I am also thinking about adding Tam Nsaliwa as a good will gesture even though I don't think he will ever be eligible to suit up for our country again
